Our names are Eddie Laners III and Maxine Angel, and we are proud to be running together for the Teaneck Board of Education.

 

As a longtime resident, youth coach, and father of two children in the district, Eddie has seen the impact our schools have on students and families, both the good and where improvement is needed. Known to many as “Coach Eddie,” he has worked closely with young people for years, mentoring both on and off the court. With a background in law and business, he brings a sharp understanding of accountability, planning, and leadership.

Maxine is a passionate community advocate and devoted Teaneck parent. She has spent years supporting families and working alongside them to navigate our school system. Through volunteer work and consistent presence at board meetings, she has become a trusted voice, especially for parents seeking fairness and clarity in how decisions are made.

Though we come from different professional paths, we share a common goal: ensuring that Teaneck’s students receive the education, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive. We believe in schools that are safe, inclusive, and academically strong and in a board that operates with transparency and integrity.
